Addiction and Recovery Scholarship
More than 64,000 Americans died from drug overdoses in 2016, including illicit drugs and prescription opioids. As of 2017, overdoses are now the leading cause of death for people under 50. Millions of Americans suffer in silence and struggle to find the help they need to recover from addiction and substance abuse. At SoberTimes.com, we’re committed to helping fight this crisis that affects so many lives.
In addition to helping people recover, Sober Times believes that our youth play an important role in creating a healthy future and reducing substance abuse. We would love to hear from passionate college students with a similar vision for the future. Please write to us about how you have helped – or plan to help – fight this epidemic. It can be that you’re planning on a career in psychology or substance abuse counseling or how you have helped a loved one recover; we can’t wait to hear from you.
